IRIS OHYAMA AT THE FONTAINEBLEAU CASTEL

Iris Ohyama France had the privilege of organising a private visit to the Château de Fontainebleau in the presence of several partners.

It is around the exhibition "Japanese works of art of the Château de Fontainebleau, art and diplomacy" in the company of Mr Yasuhi OYAMA, General Manager of IRIS OHYAMA France, and Mrs Estelle BAUER, curator of the exhibition that our guests were able to discover in the rooms of the castle, the diplomatic presents offered by the penultimate Shogun IEMOCHI to Napoleon III, between 1860 and 1864 and to reach private spaces, inaccessible to the general public

This exhibition was a great moment of discovery and sharing, but also an opportunity to strengthen the mutual understanding between French and Japanese cultures.

As a sponsor of the 10th edition of the Art History Festival 2020 on the theme of Japan and Pleasure, this year more than ever, we were happy to support the art world in the face of the Covid 19 crisis.

We would like to thank Mrs Ligne Magne, Mayor of Moissy-Cramayel and Vice-President in charge of economic development of Grand Paris Sud; Mr Olivier Gerstlé, Sub-Prefect, Deputy Secretary General of the Prefecture of Seine-et-Marne for their presence, as well as Mr Thierry MILON, Managing Director of the Major Projects Division and Mr Claude SWICHOCKA-LEONARD, Director of Operations, our partners in the GSE company for their support.
